Bayern Munich have expressed interest in signing Crystal Palace captain Marc Guehi during the summer transfer window.
The centre-back’s future is uncertain as he approaches the final five months of his contract with Crystal Palace.
Guehi may be sold this month; however, it is likely he will leave as a free agent at the end of the season, allowing him to agree to a pre-contract with international clubs now.
Liverpool is expected to pursue him again after missing out on him during the Deadline Day. Manchester City is reportedly considering a bid following injuries to key players, and Arsenal has also shown interest.
Bayern Munich has been linked to Guehi since the failed move to Liverpool, and their interest has now become more formal.
Bayern Munich inquires about Marc Guehi transfer
Sky Sport Deutschland reports that Bayern’s sporting director, Max Eberl, has been in communication recently to persuade the England international to join their team this summer.
The club is intensifying their efforts after Eberl reportedly met with Guehi’s agent at Bayern’s training facility.
Additionally, Ben Jacobs indicates that Manchester City is “prepared to make a January bid” for Guehi, though they hope Crystal Palace will reduce their £35 million asking price. Palace is open to a deal “on the right terms” but has set a higher price tag to find a suitable replacement.
The report also mentions that Arsenal and Liverpool are interested in a transfer this summer, while Atletico Madrid, Real Madrid, and Inter Milan have also made inquiries.
