Facundo Buonanotte is expected to end his loan at Chelsea and return to Brighton before moving to Leeds United.
The 21-year-old midfielder was supposed to join Leeds this summer, but Chelsea intervened at the last moment and secured him on loan from Brighton.
This decision raised questions even before he played. Buonanotte was initially excluded from the Champions League squad but was added later due to an injury in the team.
He has made nine appearances in total, including his first start under Liam Rosenior against Charlton, where he assisted in a 5-1 victory. However, overall, he has struggled to get regular playing time.
It now appears that he is ready to leave Stamford Bridge and finally make the move north that might have been better for him from the beginning.
