Wayne Rooney has shared his thoughts on Kobbie Mainoo’s performance at Manchester United this season.
The 20-year-old has faced injury challenges and has had limited opportunities in the first team under Ruben Amorim.
Mainoo, a product of the academy, has played 12 times in the Premier League this season, but all appearances have been off the bench.
He has yet to score or provide an assist, with his only starts occurring in cup competitions—two in both the FA Cup and Carabao Cup.
Mainoo’s first starting match of the season was back in August when United lost to Grimsby Town in the Carabao Cup.
