Everton is facing challenges in finding a striker, with high competition for forwards in the league complicating this transfer window.

The team is still seeking its first victory of the year, having played three matches in 2026, with their next match scheduled against Aston Villa at Villa Park on Sunday.

Scoring has been difficult; Everton has netted only four goals in their opening three games, leaving manager David Moyes searching for solutions with his current forwards.

Moyes has used Thierno Barry and Beto so far this season, but neither has shown much consistency in scoring.

With two weeks left in the transfer window, Everton now faces competition from other Premier League teams for potential signings, which could delay their search.

Everton is reportedly interested in Wolves forward Jorgen Strand Larsen as a possible signing this month.

The Norwegian player is attracting interest from several clubs, with Leeds joining the list of potential suitors.

According to TeamTalk, Daniel Farke’s team is considering a move for the 24-year-old, who meets their requirements.

Nottingham Forest has also been linked with Strand Larsen, while Wolves may face relegation to the Championship next season.

The report notes that Newcastle, Tottenham, and West Ham are also monitoring him. With Everton struggling at home this year, David Moyes is eager to enhance his attacking options before the transfer deadline.

However, with time running out and increased competition, finalizing a deal could be challenging for Everton.

Strand Larsen’s struggles in the Premier League haven’t deterred interest

This season has been tough for Wolves, and Strand Larsen has not yet matched the form that led him to score 14 goals last season.

Despite this, the 24-year-old forward continues to attract considerable attention from Premier League clubs this month.

Several teams are eyeing a deal for him, with a price tag around £40m. Alan Shearer has previously praised him following Newcastle’s attempts to sign him.

Everton is also tracking Youssef En-Nesyri, but due to his lack of experience in English football, Moyes and his recruitment team may be hesitant to take that risk again.

While Strand Larsen hasn’t been in top form recently, some clubs believe he could excel in a more suitable environment.
