Manchester United has a shorter fixture list this season, leading the club to concentrate on domestic competitions.

The Red Devils finished 15th in the Premier League last season, missing out on European tournaments, and were knocked out of the FA Cup and the Europa League final.

Further setbacks in the Carabao Cup and FA Cup have limited their schedule even more.

At the start of the season, United was eliminated by Grimsby Town on penalties in the Carabao Cup, marking the first time a fourth-tier team ousted them from a competition.

Last weekend, the team also lost 2-1 to Brighton in the FA Cup, exiting in their opening match of the tournament again.

With only the Premier League to focus on, few fixtures have been rescheduled this season, and when they were, it was usually due to the other teams involved.

Now, their match against Crystal Palace has also been rescheduled.

Manchester United announced on their official site: “The Premier League match with Crystal Palace at Old Trafford has been moved to Sunday, March 1.”

The statement continued: “We were set to play the Eagles at 15:00 GMT on Saturday, February 28.

“However, Oliver Glasner’s side has a UEFA Conference League play-off match against Zrinjski Mostar, with the second leg on Thursday, February 26.

“Our game will now take place at 14:00 GMT the following day and, as with all Sunday matches this season, it will be broadcast live in the UK on Sky Sports.”

“The encounter with Crystal Palace is one of four matches scheduled for March and will be followed by away games against Newcastle United and Bournemouth, along with a home match against Aston Villa.”

“United aims to achieve their first league double over Crystal Palace since the 2017/18 season.”

“Goals from Joshua Zirkzee and Mason Mount secured the win in the previous match back in November, despite Jean-Philippe Mateta scoring a penalty in the first half.”

This will be the last meeting between United and Crystal Palace under Oliver Glasner, who confirmed he will not extend his contract with the club beyond this season.
