Chelsea have recalled defender Aarón Anselmino from his loan at Borussia Dortmund.
The club has activated the recall option for Anselmino’s loan, which allows him to return to Stamford Bridge immediately. He has played 10 matches for Dortmund this season.
Manager Liam Rosenior made the decision to bring back the Argentine player to strengthen Chelsea’s defense, as they are currently missing Levi Colwill and Tosin Adarabioyo due to injuries.
Dortmund confirmed Chelsea’s decision in an official statement. They noted that “Centre-back Aaron Anselmino is leaving Borussia Dortmund to return to Chelsea immediately. The Premier League club has activated a clause that ends the defender’s loan, originally set to last until June 30, 2026.”
They added, “The 20-year-old Argentine made ten appearances for BVB, scoring one goal. Borussia Dortmund thanks Aaron Anselmino and wishes him all the best for his future.”
