The final day of the UEFA Champions League league phase is here, and all six Premier League teams are in contention to advance to the last-16.
This year, 24 out of 32 teams will qualify for the knockout stage, with the top eight avoiding the play-off round.
All English teams are guaranteed to finish above 24th place, ensuring they will not be eliminated on Wednesday. The main question remains: how many of them will finish in the top eight?
Champions League: What each Premier League team needs to do on the final day of the league phase
Arsenal
Regardless of their match against Kairat Almaty, Arsenal has secured a top-eight finish. They lead the Champions League table with a perfect record.
They are almost certain to finish first, as only Bayern Munich can surpass them if they defeat PSV, Arsenal loses to Kairat, and there’s a significant goal difference shift.
Chelsea
Chelsea is currently eighth with 13 points. A win against Napoli should see them through to the last-16, but they risk missing out on goal difference if they do not win. Anything less than a victory likely sends them to the play-offs.
Liverpool
A draw against Qarabag might suffice for Liverpool, who hold fourth place with 15 points, but a win would ensure they finish in the top eight.
Man City
Manchester City, one of eight teams on 13 points, faces a challenging path to the top eight. They must beat Galatasaray at home while also needing to improve their goal difference significantly and rely on favorable outcomes from other matches.
Newcastle United
Newcastle sits seventh with 13 points and will play Paris Saint-Germain, who are sixth with the same total. This match could be a decisive clash; a draw may not guarantee a top-eight spot.
Tottenham Hotspur holds fifth place with 14 points and can advance to the round of 16 with a win against Eintracht Frankfurt. A draw may also be enough depending on results from other games.
