Axel Disasi is set to join West Ham United from Chelsea on a loan deal until the end of the season.
Disasi has not played for Chelsea this season and has been left out of the team’s plans during the 2025-26 campaign.
He spent the latter part of last season on loan at Aston Villa but could not secure a permanent position last summer, despite being told he wasn’t part of the club’s future plans.
Enzo Maresca’s departure and Liam Rosenior’s arrival provided Disasi with a new opportunity at Chelsea, with discussions about his return to the squad.
However, he is now poised to leave as West Ham aims to strengthen their squad before the deadline with a new defender.
According to Fabrizio Romano, negotiations between the two London clubs are at an ‘advanced stage’, and Disasi is expected to be West Ham’s fifth signing of the January transfer window, joining Taty Castellanos, Pablo Felipe, Adama Traore, and Keiber Lamadrid.
