Jose Mourinho will again face his former club as Real Madrid and Benfica were drawn together in the UEFA Champions League play-off.
The Portuguese team pulled off a surprising victory on the last day of the group stage when goalkeeper Anatoliy Trubin scored in the final moments to secure their spot in the knockout stage.
Mourinho could have met another of his old teams, but Inter Milan was drawn against Bodo/Glimt instead.
In other matchups, Newcastle United, the only Premier League team in the play-off round, will compete against Qarabag for a spot in the last-16.
This year’s draw also features another all-French matchup, with AS Monaco facing PSG. Borussia Dortmund will take on Atalanta, Galatasaray will play Juventus, Club Brugge will clash with Atletico Madrid, and Olympiacos will meet Bayer Leverkusen.
The play-offs are scheduled for two legs on February 17/18 and 24/25, while the round of 16 will occur on March 10/11 and 17/18.
