Pep Guardiola believes Manchester City can still catch Arsenal in the title race, despite a recent setback against Tottenham.

On Sunday, Manchester City let a 2-0 lead slip away, ending the match with a 2-2 draw against Tottenham Hotspur. Dominic Solanke scored both goals for the North London team.

City initially took the lead with goals from Rayan Cherki and Antoine Semenyo, but struggled to maintain their form in the second half. This result hampers their title pursuit, as Arsenal secured a win against Leeds yesterday.

Even with this draw, which leaves City six points behind Arsenal, Guardiola remains confident that his team can continue to challenge for the Premier League title.

“It was a good game. After we conceded a goal, we faced some difficulties but fought back. Overall, it was a solid performance, though we didn’t win,” he told Sky Sports.

“They defended well and found the goal, which changed the game’s flow. We didn’t have the control we needed in some of those transitions, but it’s not a major concern.

“We are playing at a high level. We just need more consistency to win when others do. Fourteen games is a lot. We’re six points behind Arsenal, and now we focus on the next match.”
