Crystal Palace striker Jean Philippe Mateta will not be joining AC Milan on deadline day after undergoing medical tests.
AC Milan has informed Crystal Palace that they will not move forward with Mateta’s signing, despite previously agreeing on a fee around €30 million.
The French player had expressed a desire to leave Palace this month, attracted by interest from Milan, Juventus, and Aston Villa. However, it now seems he will not make the move, as Milan has pulled their offer, according to Fabrizio Romano.
This failed deal may also halt Crystal Palace’s efforts to sign Jorgen Strand Larsen.
The club had intended to bring in the Norway international as Mateta’s replacement for a fee estimated at £48 million. It appears that, following Mateta’s situation, Palace may not pursue this transfer any further.
