Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe assures that Sandro Tonali is dedicated to the club amid transfer rumors linking him to Arsenal on Transfer Deadline Day.

Arsenal was on the lookout for a midfielder after Mikel Merino suffered a foot injury that will require surgery and may keep him out for an extended period.

Reports indicated that Arsenal did not make any approach or offer for Tonali before the deadline, which passed without the team acquiring a new midfielder.

“It would surprise me if he felt unsettled, but it’s normal for our top players to attract interest from other clubs.”
