“Bruno got his injury during the game. There wasn’t any pre-existing issue,” Howe explained on Friday. “He was starting to tire, and with a full bench, we might have substituted him earlier, but we didn’t have enough midfielders, so he stayed on and unfortunately got hurt.”
“Joelinton is recovering well. He probably won’t play this weekend, but he’s close to returning. His eagerness to get back is a good sign for us.”
Additionally, Tino Livramento and Emil Krafth are still out, meaning Kieran Trippier will remain as right-back.
