Rangers and Hearts will clash at Ibrox on Sunday in a key Scottish Premiership match, with both teams just five points apart at the top and 11 league games remaining.
Rangers come into this match after a disappointing 1-1 draw against 10-man Motherwell, which limited their chance to close the gap on Hearts in the title race.
This season, Rangers have drawn 10 of their 26 Premiership games, the highest among the contenders. They sit in second place with 14 wins, 10 draws, and only two losses, totaling 52 points and a goal difference of +24.
Rangers team news
Head coach Danny Rohl has not revealed much about his selection plans, noting that he has “learned not to talk about availability too early” after facing criticism for his choices following the draw at Fir Park.
Max Aarons missed the match against Motherwell, while Connor Barron and Derek Cornelius remain out with longer-term injuries, and midfielder Bailey Rice is also unavailable.
Despite these absences, Rangers are expected to field a strong lineup, aiming to cut Hearts’ lead. Jack Butland is likely to start in goal, James Tavernier will continue at right-back, and attacking players like Mohamed Diomande, Mikey Moore, and Bojan Miovski are set to be in the lineup.
Rohl emphasized the importance of this game, stating that reducing a 13-point gap when he took over to just two would be a “significant opportunity” and that a win against Hearts would be “huge” for Rangers.
Rangers predicted lineup
Possible Rangers starting XI: Butland; Tavernier, Souttar, Djiga, Meghoma; Raskin, Chukwuani; Gassama, Diomande, Moore; Miovski.
When will the match kick off?
The match will kick off at 4:30pm BST on Sunday, 15th February.
