Eberechi Eze enjoys playing in the North London Derby. After a transfer battle last summer between Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur, Eze has made a mark against Spurs since joining Arsenal.
Eze made history as the first player in Premier League to score a hat-trick in the first North London Derby of the season, contributing to Arsenal’s 4-1 victory over Tottenham at the Emirates.
After being recalled for the reverse fixture at Spurs today, he scored the opening goal at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, marking his fourth goal in the derby this season.
Remarkably, Eze’s goal was his first shot on target in the Premier League since his hat-trick goal on November 23rd.
However, his celebration was brief, as Spurs equalised just 24 seconds after the second half began. Randal Kolo Muani took advantage of a mistake by Declan Rice to score for Spurs.
It’s still a tight contest in the capital…
