Our Premier League Awards highlight the best and worst moments from the weekend, including Burnley-Brentford and a remarkable save by Jordan Pickford.
Moment of the Week
The Premier League weekend was full of goals, with only two teams managing clean sheets.
One of the standout matches was at Turf Moor, where Burnley and Brentford faced off in a thrilling game with seven goals, plenty of late action, and some VAR controversies.
Brentford seemed to be in trouble when Burnley made a comeback from three goals down, but Mikkel Damsgaard scored a last-minute winner in the 93rd minute.
Damsgaard’s winner came after Burnley had two goals disallowed in an action-packed match.
Player of the Week
The star of the show for Brentford, Mikkel Damsgaard, is our Player of the Week. He opened the scoring with a rare header and assisted Igor Thiago for the second goal, before netting the winner.
Though he hasn’t been as productive as last season, he remains a top creator. He could play a key role in Brentford’s ambitions for European competition.

Goal of the Week
It’s tough to score a brilliant goal and have it end up in a loss.
Morgan Gibbs-White scored a stunning goal for Nottingham Forest at Brighton, but it wasn’t enough as they lost 2-1.
Only two minutes after Gibbs-White’s equalizer, Brighton retook the lead, leaving the Forest captain disappointed.
We’ll give him the Goal of the Week Award as a small consolation.

Save of the Week
Jordan Pickford claims that his save against Newcastle is the best of his career. The England goalkeeper has made several impressive stops, but this one stands out.
A powerful shot from Tonali was headed for the goal, but Pickford reacted quickly to deflect it off the bar, securing a key save as Everton held on for a 3-2 lead late in the game.

Stat of the Week
Arsenal continues to be effective with set pieces, scoring two goals from corners against Chelsea this weekend.
This performance not only helped them win a critical match in the title race, but it also matched a league record.
16 – Arsenal’s 16 goals from corners in the Premier League this season is the joint-most by any side in a single campaign, alongside Oldham in 1992-93, West Brom in 2016-17, and the Gunners themselves in 2023-24. Angles. pic.twitter.com/SkOXJssz2h

A week to forget for…
Igor Tudor. The interim manager of Tottenham now understands the challenges ahead of him. His first two games in charge resulted in two defeats, with a total of six goals conceded.
