Reece James has signed a new six-year deal with Chelsea, securing his future at Stamford Bridge.
The club captain’s new agreement will last until June 2032.
With less than 18 months remaining on his previous contract, Chelsea is pleased to finalize a new deal that aligns with their incentivised wage structure, according to The Athletic.
James has made 225 appearances for Chelsea after rising through the academy and became captain following César Azpilicueta’s departure in 2023.
Despite earlier injury struggles, the England right-back has been active this season, playing 35 times in all competitions.
He is likely to be included in the England squad for the upcoming friendlies against Uruguay and Japan later this month, having been a key player for the national team under former Chelsea coach Thomas Tuchel.
