Mikel Arteta has stated that Jurrien Timber and Martin Odegaard may be fit to play for Arsenal in the Carabao Cup final this weekend.
Arsenal will face Manchester City at Wembley on Sunday, competing for the first trophy of the season.
This match presents Arsenal with an opportunity to end a six-year wait for a major title and pursue a rare quadruple.
Heading into the match, Arsenal has some injury concerns, with both Timber and Odegaard working to recover.
They will miss the upcoming Champions League game against Bayer Leverkusen, but Arteta expressed hope about their participation at Wembley.
Regarding Odegaard, Arteta mentioned in a press conference on Monday: “He really wants to be available, but we will have to see in the next few days during training how he feels. The more players we have, the better.
“As for Jurrien Timber’s injury, it will be a matter of days, so I’m unsure about his availability. We need everyone fit. We understand what Ben White brings to the team. He trained today, so he is ready. Everyone’s contribution is important.”
