Chelsea scored big with Joao Pedro from Brighton during the summer 2025 transfer window, but their other attacking signings, including Jamie Bynoe-Gittens and Liam Delap, did not impress.

Alejandro Garnacho presents a more complicated situation, as he may not be the ideal choice for the left wing. The team needs a stronger playmaking option in that position, and there is a notable prospect on their radar.

Reports from talkSPORT’s Alex Crook indicate that Chelsea is one of several clubs interested in Aston Villa forward Morgan Rogers as a potential summer signing.

Aston Villa aims to sell Rogers for £100 million, the same amount they received for Jack Grealish when he moved to Manchester City. If Villa fails to qualify for the Champions League this season, they might have to consider selling their key player.

This presents an added incentive for Todd Boehly and Chelsea to push for a strong finish to secure Champions League football, with the chance to sign Rogers as a possible alternative to Garnacho. However, competition will be tough, as Liverpool is also reportedly in the running for Rogers.
