Mainoo last represented England in September 2024 and had fallen out of favor due to limited playing time with Ruben Amorim as head coach.

Maguire’s most recent cap was in a match against Ireland, and he will seek to demonstrate his skills this week as he aims for a spot in the World Cup squad.
