Jadon Sancho is considering a return to Borussia Dortmund as the club looks to re-sign him.
Sancho will be a free agent this summer when his contract with Manchester United ends. The club does not plan to activate the optional one-year extension after a disappointing period at Old Trafford.
Sancho has spent the last two-and-a-half seasons on loan, including a return to Dortmund for the 2023-24 season and a season-long loan at Chelsea last year.
This season, he is loaned to Aston Villa but has faced challenges in making a significant impact.
Dortmund is now considering a deal to bring back the player, according to journalist Ben Jacobs. Any agreement would likely require Sancho to accept a lower salary, but this is not seen as a major obstacle.
During his first term at Dortmund from 2017 to 2021, Sancho showcased his best performance, tallying 120 goals and assists in 153 matches and earning a spot in the Bundesliga Team of the Season twice.
