Sam Surridge scored a hat trick, while Cristian Espinoza contributed a goal and an assist, leading Nashville SC to a 5-0 win over Orlando City SC on Saturday.

Surridge, who scored 24 goals in the 2025 season, opened the scoring in the first half and added two more in the second. With this victory, Nashville remains unbeaten at 4-0-1, accumulating 13 points. Goalkeeper Brian Schwake made one save, earning his third clean sheet.

Orlando, now at 1-4-0 with 3 points, struggled to produce offense, registering only one shot on target compared to Nashville’s nine. Goalkeeper Maxime Crepeau made four saves but conceded five goals, marking Orlando’s second 5-0 defeat in just three games. This match was the second under interim head coach Martin Perelman after parting ways with Oscar Pareja.

Espinoza netted his second goal of the season just five minutes into the match, finding the net with a powerful shot from the right of the box after receiving a pass from Andy Najar.

Nashville attempted three shots before Orlando had their first attempt, a shot by Duncan McGuire 14 minutes in.

After Nolan Miller received a yellow card for a foul, Surridge converted a penalty kick in the 28th minute, extending Nashville’s lead to 2-0.

Despite chances from Surridge and Patrick Yazbek, both shots were saved by Crepeau, keeping the halftime score at 2-0.

Surridge scored again 10 minutes into the second half, finding a loose ball in the box for a left-footed shot that made it 3-0.

Continuing his impressive performance, Surridge received a pass from Espinoza, scoring again from the left of the box in the 67th minute to bring the score to 4-0. Warren Madrigal capped the scoring with his second goal of the season in the 80th minute, finalizing the match at 5-0.
