Manchester United loaned Marcus Rashford to Aston Villa in February after the winger fell out of favour under Ruben Amorim. Now, the England international could help the Red Devils raise up to £310 million in the summer transfer window if he agrees to leave Old Trafford permanently.
Rashford has struggled for form in recent years and moved to Villa to rediscover his golden touch in attack. The 27-year-old has shown signs of revival at the West Midlands club, registering four assists in nine games. His impressive form has even earned him a recall to the England squad by Thomas Tuchel.
Manchester United are reportedly looking to sell Rashford in the summer. Villa have an option to buy Rashford for £40m after his loan ends. If they do not exercise that option, United will likely look elsewhere for a similar fee.
Apart from Rashford, there are eight other players who could leave Manchester United this summer. One name that is widely rumored to be leaving is young midfielder Kobbie Mainoo. If no new contract agreement is reached, the talented player could be released for around £70 million.
United are also keen to offload Jadon Sancho on a permanent basis. Chelsea are said to be willing to pay around £25m to secure the winger’s services following his loan spell at Stamford Bridge. However, there is a possibility that the Blues could pay a penalty to cancel the deal.
Another player who could potentially be offloaded is Antony, the Brazilian winger who has failed to shine since being bought for a whopping £81m in 2022. He is currently on loan at Real Betis, and United are reportedly ready to accept a £40m offer to let him leave permanently.
In addition, goalkeeper Andre Onana is also on the transfer list. After making several mistakes since joining from Inter Milan in 2023, Amorim is said to be open to selling him. Manchester United are expected to try to recoup most of the £47m they paid for him, with £40m considered a realistic price.
