Liverpool striker Hugo Ekitike scored the winning goal as France defeated Brazil 2-1 in a World Cup warm-up friendly on Thursday night.
The match took place at Gillette Stadium in Massachusetts, USA, with France emerging victorious.
Les Bleus, aiming for their third consecutive World Cup final this summer, took the lead with Kylian Mbappe’s goal, marking his 56th goal for France. This puts him just one goal away from tying Olivier Giroud’s all-time record.
Mbappe scored by lifting the ball over Ederson in the first half, but France faced a setback when Dayot Upamecano was sent off after the break for a foul on Wesley just outside the box.
Even with ten players, France added a second goal when Ekitike found the net from close range.
Hugo Ekitike has scored in two of his last three games for France.
