The Colorado Rapids have signed forward Georgi Minoungou from the Seattle Sounders for $2 million in general allocation money.
Seattle will keep a sell-on percentage and the payment will be spread evenly over the 2026 and 2027 seasons.
Minoungou, 23, recorded three goals and seven assists in 34 matches for the Sounders between 2024 and 2026.
“We are pleased to welcome Georgi to the club,” said Rapids sporting director Fran Taylor. “He is an exciting winger capable of winning one-on-one battles consistently. Few players in MLS match his skill set, and he aligns well with our style of play.”
Born in the Ivory Coast, Minoungou plays internationally for Burkina Faso, where he has scored three goals in nine matches.
