Casemiro will leave Manchester United this summer after four years with the club, creating the need to find a replacement for the Brazilian midfielder.

Despite some doubts about his performance, the five-time Champions League winner has shown signs of improvement recently.

While he may not reach the heights he had at Real Madrid, the 34-year-old can still perform well against Premier League teams.

Manchester United is actively searching for a suitable replacement, especially since he was called up to the Brazil national team this March.

Brazil faced France and lost 2-1, with both Casemiro and Matheus Cunha in the lineup. Casemiro’s comments after the match may have ramifications.

He has confirmed that he will not remain at Old Trafford after this season, which could cause tension with Brazil’s manager, Carlo Ancelotti.

Ancelotti has faced criticism for not including Neymar in the Brazil squad for the March match.

Neymar, Brazil’s all-time top scorer with 79 goals, has struggled since returning to Santos, leading to his exclusion from the squad.

According to The Mirror, Casemiro spoke highly of Neymar, calling him ‘indispensable’ to the national team. He stated:

“We know how good Neymar is. He is indispensable to any national team, and especially when he is in form, he is one of the best in the world.”

He even labeled Neymar as one of the top three players of his generation, alongside Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.

“For my generation, he is one of the top three: Cristiano, Messi, and Neymar,” he said.

Casemiro added that ultimately, it’s Ancelotti’s choice regarding player selections: “It’s not up to me to decide who they’re going to call up.”

Looking ahead, he is focused on Brazil’s friendly match against Croatia in early April.

On the domestic front, Michael Carrick and his coaching staff will gladly welcome Casemiro back when players return from international duty.

Casemiro has formed a strong partnership with Kobbie Mainoo in midfield, and he will be crucial if the team aims to secure Champions League qualification for next season.
