The friendly match between Spain and Egypt ended in a 0-0 draw on March 31, 2026, at the RCDE Stadium, but it was overshadowed by unacceptable fan behavior.

Details: Throughout the game, fans made xenophobic and Islamophobic remarks aimed at Muslims. Spain’s head coach, Luis de la Fuente, expressed his strong feelings during the post-match press conference, condemning the actions of the radical supporters.

“I completely condemn any form of racism, xenophobia, or disrespect. It was completely unacceptable,” said the 64-year-old manager.

When asked about handling such incidents, the coach was clear:

“These individuals need to be removed from society. The farther away they are from us, the better. That’s it.”

De la Fuente pointed out that such behavior brings shame to Spanish football and goes against the core values of sportsmanship.
