Ronaldo faces issues not of his making.
The renowned Portuguese player is encountering trouble linked to the previous management of Almería.
Details: As reported by RMC Sport, Brazilian club Flamengo has filed a lawsuit against Almería, owned by Cristiano Ronaldo, seeking €1.8 million in damages.
The conflict began in August 2022 when Almería did not fulfill tax requirements related to the transfer of Lázaro from Flamengo. At that time, Flamengo had to pay €1.5 million in taxes to complete the transfer.
Flamengo is asking Almería to repay the entire amount, plus interest accrued over the last four years.
The Brazilian club is looking to Ronaldo for support, hoping he will address the debt that Almería’s former management did not cover.
Reminder: The Ronaldo effect! Almería ranks among Spain’s top 5 popular clubs.
