Legendary Buffon has stepped down from his role.

Italy’s absence from the World Cup has led to significant changes.

Details: Former Italy and Juventus goalkeeper, Gianluigi Buffon, is no longer the coordinator of the Italian national team.

His departure follows the recent loss to Bosnia and the team’s failure to qualify for the World Cup.

At 48, Buffon had served as coordinator since 2023 and was part of head coach Gennaro Gattuso’s staff after Gattuso took charge.

Buffon debuted for the Italian national team in 1997, playing 176 matches and winning the World Cup in 2006.
