Details: Today, it was announced that Chelsea’s head coach, Liam Rosenior, has left 25-year-old Argentine midfielder Enzo Fernández out of the squad.
Rosenior stated that Enzo’s conduct has been highly unprofessional, stating that he crossed professional boundaries and does not deserve a spot on the team:
“We spoke with him an hour ago. On behalf of the club and myself, I declare that he will not participate in tomorrow’s match or the game against Manchester City next week. He has crossed the line regarding the culture we aim to build at the club,” Rosenior said.
Currently, Enzo is suspended for two matches. However, if his relationship with Rosenior and club management does not improve, he could be sidelined for the remainder of the season.
One primary issue in this situation is rumored to be Enzo’s potential transfer to Real Madrid, a topic that has been in the news recently.
So far this season, Enzo has played 46 matches for Chelsea, scoring 12 goals and making 6 assists. His contract with Chelsea extends until 2032, with a transfer value of around 90 million euros, according to Transfermarkt.
