Manchester City booked their place in the semi-finals of the FA Cup after beating Bournemouth 2-1 in the quarter-finals at the Vitality Stadium in Bournemouth early on Sunday IST.
Bournemouth took the lead through Evanilson, but Manchester City came from behind through Erling Haaland and Omar Marmoush, according to FA Cup records.
Manchester City complete the four teams in the FA Cup semi-finals after Crystal Palace, Nottingham Forest and Aston Villa qualified from the quarter-finals.
Statistically, Manchester City dominated the game with 64 per cent of the possession and 17 shots, seven of which were on target.
City started the game on the offensive and had a chance after the referee awarded a penalty on 12 minutes.
Erling Haaland, who had stepped up to take the penalty, failed to do his job properly as his shot was blocked by Bournemouth goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga.
Haaland had another chance to put City ahead, but this time his shot flew just over the Bournemouth crossbar.
Meanwhile, Bournemouth took the lead through Evanilson after a pass from Justin Kluivert to make it 1-0 in the 21st minute.
In the second half, City again took the attacking initiative and equalised through Haaland in the 49th minute to make it 1-1.
In the 63rd minute, Omar Marmoush scored for City with a shot that Kepa could not stop to make it 2-1.
The one-goal advantage did not deter City from attacking, but by the time the final whistle blew, the Citizens had beaten Bournemouth 2-1.
