Marseille’s coaching start this century has been tough.
Since taking over as manager in February, Habib Beye has had a challenging run, similar to Jean Fernandez’s start in 2005. Beye has lost three out of his first seven matches. Before losing to AS Monaco on April 5, Marseille faced defeats against Brest on February 20 and Lille on March 22.
Stats Foot reports that Beye is the first Marseille manager since 2005 to lose three of his first seven matches. Jean Fernandez was the previous manager to encounter three losses in his first four matches during the 2005–2006 season.
