Bright Ndlovu helped Sekhukhune United secure a draw by scoring the equaliser against Babina Noko, resulting in a 2-2 tie with AmaZulu.

Eric Tinkler’s Babina Noko faced the possibility of defeat as Usuthu took the lead with a goal from Thapelo Matlhoko.

The visitors equalised through Olerato Nadi, but Nkosikhona Radebe quickly restored AmaZulu’s advantage in this Betway Premiership match at Princess Magogo Stadium.

In the second half, the home team seemed to gain control and appeared set to reclaim third place from Kaizer Chiefs, who earlier defeated Orbit College 3-1.

However, Tinkler’s team refused to be outmatched by their Kwa-Zulu Natal rivals.

In the final quarter of the match, Ndlovu scored with a shot inside the box, beating AmaZulu’s goalkeeper, Olwethu Mzimela.

As a result, Arthur Zwane’s team couldn’t reclaim third place from Amakhosi and remain one point behind, with Chiefs holding 39 points and having two games less than AmaZulu.

Sekhukhune United moved up to fifth place following this match.

Tinkler would be satisfied, as AmaZulu entered the game on a four-match unbeaten streak.
