Concerns about Mircea Lucescu’s health have taken a concerning turn.

Details: Emanuel Roşu has reported that the surgery planned to connect Lucescu to an ECMO (extracorporeal membrane oxygenation) system will not proceed. A medical board has determined that the 80-year-old’s condition has deteriorated too much after experiencing a heart attack and related complications. The risks associated with such a complex surgery are significant; doctors believe Lucescu’s weakened state might prevent him from surviving the operation.

To recap, the iconic manager, who led Romania’s national team just last week, is currently hospitalized in critical condition after his heart attack.
