Newcastle is still on the lookout for a quality replacement for Alexander Isak.

The Spanish forward may soon be heading to the Premier League.

Details: As reported by TEAMtalk, Newcastle’s coaching staff and management have pinpointed 22-year-old Real Madrid striker Gonzalo García as their top target for the summer transfer window.

Even with recent additions like Woltemade and Yoane Wissa, the club feels they haven’t effectively replaced Isak, who moved to Liverpool. García’s playing style and youthful age make him an ideal candidate for Newcastle.

The Magpies plan to begin official negotiations with Real Madrid after the World Cup, although they expect some challenges in securing García’s transfer.

This season, Gonzalo has participated in 32 matches, scoring 6 goals and providing 2 assists. A move to Newcastle could provide him with more playing time than he currently enjoys at Real Madrid.

The forward’s contract with Real Madrid extends until 2030, with Transfermarkt valuing him at €30 million.

Reminder: Official: Kieran Trippier has announced his departure from Newcastle.
