The 11 finalists for the award recognizing the top African footballer in France’s Ligue 1 have been announced.

This announcement was made on Thursday, April 9, 2026. The selected players have excelled in their performances since the beginning of the 2025–2026 season. The award, presented since 2009 in memory of former Cameroonian international Marc-Vivien Foe, who tragically passed away during a match in France in 2003, will soon reveal its winner. Among the nominees are Senegalese players Moussa Niakhate, Lamine Camara, and Bamba Dieng.
