Dominic Frimpong died from gunshot wounds he suffered during a robbery targeting his club’s bus, Berekum Chelsea.
The 20-year-old striker and his team were on their way back from a Ghanaian Premier League match against FC Samartex when highway robbers ambushed them.
The attackers opened fire, leading to several injuries. Dominic was rushed to the hospital but sadly did not survive his wounds. He was on loan at Berekum Chelsea from Aduana FC and had scored two goals in 13 matches this season.
