The future of German striker Niclas Füllkrug in Italy’s Serie A seems to be clear.
Details: Insider Fabrizio Romano reports that AC Milan will not activate the €5 million buyout clause for Füllkrug at the end of this season.
Despite hopes for the seasoned forward, Milan’s management has chosen to let Füllkrug go this June as they shift their focus to younger, more promising players to enhance their attack.
Under the current agreement, Füllkrug will officially return to West Ham in London this summer. However, the 33-year-old striker doesn’t plan to remain in the Premier League. The Hammers, too, have no long-term intentions for the German and will put him on the transfer market right away.
Notably, Füllkrug made 25 appearances for Milan, netting just one goal.
Recall: Christian Pulisic and Rafael Leão may also depart from Milan this summer.
