Bamba Dieng continues to shine in Ligue 1. On April 18, during matchday 30, he played a pivotal role in Lorient’s 2-0 victory over Marseille at the Stade du Moustoir. The Senegalese striker scored the second goal, helping to secure the win for his team.
This goal marked Dieng’s 9th in just 18 appearances this season for FC Lorient, and he also has one assist to his name. Since he debuted in the French league in the 2020-21 season with Marseille, he had never scored more than seven goals in a single Ligue 1 season. However, he has already surpassed that record this season, hitting nine goals at this point in the campaign.
