Liverpool Football Club has turned its attention to 19-year-old forward Yan Diomande as a potential successor to Mohamed Salah. The Ivorian international, currently excelling at RB Leipzig, has attracted significant interest from the Reds’ management, who are eager to finalize a deal this summer. Ongoing discussions are reported by journalist Florian Plettenberg.
Despite the interest, an agreement has yet to be established. To secure Diomande’s transfer, Liverpool faces a substantial financial requirement, with fees exceeding €100 million being anticipated. In addition, RB Leipzig is looking to extend the player’s contract, which is already set to run until June 2030, including a proposed pay rise.
In addition to Liverpool, Paris Saint-Germain is also in the mix for the talented striker. The French club has reportedly initiated conversations with Diomande’s agents, indicating serious interest in acquiring the young forward.
