Paris Saint-Germain’s Senegalese striker, Ibrahim Mbaye, has seen his playing time drastically decline, not participating in any matches since March 2026’s international break. His situation has worsened, notably after he was omitted from the squad for last weekend’s league match against Lyon.

Manager Luis Enrique addressed Mbaye’s performance during a recent press conference, indicating his dissatisfaction with the striker’s readiness and contribution to the team. He emphasized that greater effort is expected from all players amidst the intense competition for minutes on the pitch.

Every minute you get to play for PSG has to be special. I have no regrets about Mbaye, but you have to be ready. He was ready, but I expect much more from all the players. It’s simply competition. You have to make the most of every minute.
