The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has declared the postponement of Matchday 20 fixtures in the Ghana Premier League following the tragic death of Dominic Frimpong.

This decision follows a disturbing incident involving Berekum Chelsea, whose team bus was reportedly ambushed by armed robbers while returning from Samreboi to Berekum. Frimpong, a forward for the club, was killed during the attack, prompting widespread mourning within the football community.

In an official statement, the GFA stated that the postponement serves as a mark of respect for the late striker and is intended to provide Berekum Chelsea players and staff with time to cope with the traumatic incident.

The association also confirmed that league action is set to resume, with Matchday 31 fixtures scheduled to take place between May 1 and May 6.
