Diego Simeone has announced that Ademola Lookman will miss Atlético Madrid’s upcoming La Liga match against Athletic Bilbao. The forward’s absence is due to an adductor injury he sustained during last weekend’s Copa del Rey final against Real Sociedad.
Lookman had to be substituted during the match as a result of the injury and has not recovered in time for this weekend’s game. Simeone provided updates on Lookman’s fitness during his pre-match press conference on Friday.
“Ademola Lookman is not ready for tomorrow yet, it’s a good thing we took him off in the Copa final,” Simeone said.
