The Republic of Congo is reportedly in discussions to appoint former Indomitable Lions captain Rigobert Song as their new head coach.
Sources close to the football federation have revealed that the negotiations are still in the exploratory phase, with Congolese authorities expressing a strong interest in securing his services.
Song brings a wealth of experience to the table, having previously managed Cameroon. He led the national team during the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations and played a key role in their qualification for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
