Super Eagles defender Bright Osayi-Samuel has disclosed the reason behind his unsuccessful transfer attempt to Beşiktaş J.K. He attributed the setback to his father’s staunch loyalty to Fenerbahçe S.K.
In an interview with Libero TV, the 28-year-old explained that although Beşiktaş expressed serious interest through his former agent, the move did not materialize due to family ties. “My dad is a Fenerbahce fan, he wouldn’t let me go to Besiktas,” he stated.
“The deal with Besiktas was an agreement made with my former agent. It had nothing to do with me or my dad. My dad is a very hardcore Fenerbahce supporter, really hardcore.”
