The Confederation of African Football (CAF) is reportedly considering a proposal that would allow the highest-ranked countries in Africa to enter three or even four clubs into the CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup. This reform aims to increase participation from the continent’s top 12 ranked associations.
Currently, these countries are limited to sending two representatives to the competitions. However, ongoing discussions suggest that this number could be expanded, allowing greater representation for countries such as Egypt, Ivory Coast, Algeria, DR Congo, South Africa, Morocco, Tunisia, Angola, Libya, Nigeria, Sudan, and Tanzania.
