Kelechi Iheanacho expressed his joy after scoring the winning goal for Celtic in their 2-1 victory over Hibernian. Coming off the bench, the Nigerian forward made a significant impact, securing all three points for his team in a fiercely contested match.

Following the game, Iheanacho shared his enthusiasm about contributing to the team’s success. “I always feel great to come in and help the team to get the win, so I’m happy today. The whole team is happy, and especially the fans,” he said.

The striker emphasized the importance of patience in the game, particularly when playing against a reduced squad. “It’s really important to stay patient… You need patience to move them from side to side to create spaces, and, at the end, we got our reward,” he noted.

“In the box you need to be composed but it was a difficult finish… I just had to get it on target and see what happened,” Iheanacho added. He expressed optimism for the rest of the season, stating, “We just need to focus on the rest of the games and do the job we need to do and at the end, we’ll get the trophy hopefully.”
