Michael Carrick has garnered unanimous support from the Manchester United board to assume the role of the club’s permanent manager. His impressive record as interim boss—winning 10 out of 14 matches and securing a Champions League spot ahead of schedule—has positioned him as the top candidate for the job.

According to TeamTalk, Sir Jim Ratcliffe and sporting director Jason Wilcox turned down eight other contenders, including notable names such as Thomas Tuchel and Julian Nagelsmann. Carrick’s ability to not only produce results but also to foster unity within the team has been a significant factor in his approval.

Key players, including Bruno Fernandes and Harry Maguire, have publicly expressed their support for Carrick’s appointment. The club is currently looking to enhance its coaching staff and is considering bringing in Aaron Danks, Carrick’s longstanding associate, from Bayern Munich.
