Monaco’s management has confirmed their decision to activate the buyout option for 23-year-old forward Ansu Fati, who has been on loan with the club. The Monegasque bosses are reportedly pleased with his development during his time at the club.
Details: Insider Fabrizio Romano reports that Monaco is prepared to pay Barcelona a fixed fee of €11 million for Fati. Currently, the agreement is in its final stages, with both clubs negotiating personal terms with the player.
Barcelona will still benefit from the transaction, as they will retain a sell-on clause, ensuring they receive a percentage of any future transfer if Monaco decides to sell Fati. This clause will provide the Catalan club with financial gains from the young forward’s potential future moves.
This season, Fati has made a notable impact at Monaco, featuring in 28 matches across all competitions and scoring 11 goals. Transfermarkt currently values the young player at €15 million.
