Montpellier Hérault Sport Club has announced that Cameroonian goalkeeper Kevin Kamdem will be officially promoted to the first team next summer. Kamdem, who joined Montpellier in March 2024 from the Academie Foot de Douala, has successfully navigated through the club’s youth ranks and is now set to take the next step in his career.

The decision to turn Kamdem professional comes in recognition of his impressive performances during training with the first team this season. Following the confirmation of his contract, Kamdem expressed his excitement about this significant development in his career.

This is a special moment that brings me great joy. I am very happy to have signed my first professional contract with Montpellier Hérault Sport Club. It is a source of great pride for me. Having joined the Douala Football Academy at the age of 12 and finding myself here today shows great progress, and I’m very pleased about it. I hope to prepare well for next season and show what I’m capable of to earn a place in the first team.
